Education

It important for deaf to get a special education because deaf children have two major problems:

• 1 - not being able to hear
• 2 - not being able to communicate.

Therefore, it requires all support services and rehabilitation programs to be able to learn. Special Education is therefore a must for the proper development of the Deaf child

The services offered in Special Education regards:

• Children attending school aged 3 to 16 yrs.
• Preprimary, primary and prevocational classes. There are 72 children in Beau Bassin, 22 at Goodlands, 10 at Riambel.
